Did anyone else used to think about everyone who had ever borrowed a library book? I was in the library the other day and picked up a book, and now with the digitisation of records, the old way of stamping the front is gone, so it got me thinking. I used to love looking at the dates, looking for specifics like a birthday, or the exact day from the year before, or even my own record from when I borrowed a book before. It was lovely record of past encounters and little traces of the other people who picked up the book.
